EMERGENCY ELECTRICIAN CASE STUDY
No one can predict when an electrical problem will occur. The best, and only, option is to be prepared with a plan of who to call when an electrical problem arises and you need an emergency response. That is exactly what Slattery and Acquroff, or S&A, did and Twin Electrics & Plumbing was there to answer the call and provide much needed help and assistance.
A Complete Power Failure Puts Major Production Deadlines at Risk
S&A has been creating and manufacturing stairs for customers throughout Australia for over 100 years. This company is well known for providing stylish, high-quality stair building and for meeting production deadlines. Unfortunately, that was put at risk one morning.
Early in the morning, S&A experienced what was assumed to be a major and complete power failure. The power failure was not discovered until the early hours when production teams arrived to open up the factory. This complete power failure not only impacted the main office building, but the entire plant.
Given the wide reach of the power failure, the company was looking at a total shut down. Shutting down the entire plant would put production deadlines at risk and prevent clients from receiving their orders in a timely manner, as well as financial loss and brand damage to the company.
Luckily, Twin Electrics, a commercial plumber was ready and able to help.
Emergency Response Team from Twin Electrics & Plumbing was dispatched
Upon receiving the call at approximately 6:30 a.m. Twin Electrics & Plumbing dispatched our emergency response team. Our team was able to get to the S&A plant within an hour and immediately start diagnostic procedures to determine the problem.
The problem was quickly diagnosed. It was determined to be a rupture that would take considerable time to repair. Luckily, there was a solution.
Twin Electrics & Plumbing, a commercial electrician, created a temporary solution. A 500 AMP generator was brought in and connected. This allowed the offices and plant to receive enough power to get back on schedule.
From start to finish, it took just four hours to get S&A back up and running with power. Meanwhile, Twin Electrics & Plumbing was able to complete the required repairs on the substation and fully reconnect the entire site by the next morning.
